TALENT POOL ADVERT — REGISTER YOUR INTEREST
Communications: Officer to Director level
If you can take a complicated organisation and explain, in one clear sentence, why it matters, we want to hear from you.
Westminster Search is building a talent pool of strong communications professionals, at every level from Officer to Director, for our clients across charities, membership bodies and agencies. We are not recruiting for one role — we are getting ahead of the next ten. Join the pool now, and we will match you to a live vacancy the moment it fits, at the level that suits your experience.
Why register with this talent pool
- You are matched to relevant roles before they are advertised publicly.
- One conversation with us saves you dozens of applications to individual employers.
- We know the communications market in detail, and we only put you forward for roles that suit your experience and ambitions.
- You hear about opportunities first, from a consultant who has placed communications professionals for years.
What communications roles cover, at every level
- Planning and delivering communications across media, digital, internal and stakeholder channels, so the organisation says the same thing everywhere.
- Writing and editing content that ranges from a single social post to a Chief Executive's keynote speech.
- Coordinating with public affairs, campaigns and public relations colleagues to keep messaging consistent and on strategy.
- Managing the organisation's brand, tone and reputation across everything it publishes.
- At more senior levels: setting communications strategy, leading a team, and advising trustees, Boards or Chief Executives on how the organisation should be heard.
What clients are looking for
- Experience across communications, content, digital or internal comms roles — in-house, agency or the third sector.
- Exceptional written English, and the versatility to switch between formats, channels and audiences without losing the organisation's voice.
- A good understanding of how communications, media and public affairs work together.
- Sound judgement, and the confidence to advise colleagues on how something should be said, or whether it should be said at all.
- For senior roles: a track record of leading teams and advising at Board level on communications strategy and reputation.
How the talent pool works
