Public Policy Manager - Brighton
Westminster Search is recruiting a strategic and analytical Public Policy Manager for a national organisation committed to influencing change across a vital policy area. This is a senior role combining policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and thought leadership.
The Role
As Public Policy Manager, you will shape and articulate the organisation’s policy positions, represent it in policy forums, and engage with government and regulators to influence legislation and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the development of policy positions and briefing materials
- Build relationships with policymakers, think tanks, and civil servants
- Coordinate consultation responses and position papers
- Represent the organisation at meetings and working groups
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess impact
Person Specification
- In-depth experience in public policy or regulatory affairs
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Proven ability to influence decision-makers and build coalitions
- Clear understanding of policymaking processes and frameworks
- Skilled at translating technical or sector-specific issues into compelling advocacy
