The Role
As Public Affairs Officer, you will support engagement with policymakers, monitor developments in Parliament and government, and help deliver influencing strategies that promote the organisation’s priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse political developments relevant to the sector
- Draft briefings, consultation responses, and correspondence with policymakers
- Support meetings and events with parliamentarians and stakeholders
- Maintain stakeholder databases and engagement logs
- Provide regular internal updates and political insight
Person Specification
- Strong interest in UK politics and public policy
- Excellent research and communication skills
- Experience in Parliament, a public affairs team, or similar environment
- Confident working independently and managing multiple tasks
- Knowledge of policymaking processes and political institutions
