PR Manager - Membership Body - Glasgow
Westminster Search is working with a growing organisation to recruit a skilled and creative PR Manager. This is a key role focused on developing and delivering proactive media strategies that build profile, credibility, and public trust.
The Role
As PR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of media relations, creating content, cultivating journalist relationships, and handling both reactive and proactive press activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement PR strategies to raise the organisation’s profile
- Manage media enquiries, statements, and crisis response
- Draft press releases, articles, blogs, and spokesperson briefings
- Build strong relationships with national, regional, and trade media
- Evaluate media coverage and adjust tactics as needed
Person Specification
- Experience in PR, media, or journalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong news judgement and understanding of media engagement
- Proactive, confident, and calm under pressure
- Ability to manage reputational issues and handle sensitive topics
