How can I register with Westminster Search?

Get in touch with us directly, or send us your CV. We will arrange a confidential conversation to understand your experience and what you are looking for next.

Do you have roles that aren't advertised publicly?

Yes. Many of our roles are confidential and never appear on a job board. Registering with us is the best way to hear about them.

Can I speak to you about my career even if I don't see a suitable vacancy?

Yes. We are always happy to talk, even if we don't have the right role for you today. Building a relationship now means we can move quickly when the right opportunity comes up.

Will my information be kept confidential?

Yes. We will never share your details or put you forward for a role without your permission.

Will you contact my current employer?

No. We will not contact your current employer, or anyone else, without your permission.

What happens after I submit my CV?

We will review your CV and, if it's a good fit for what we recruit, arrange a confidential conversation with you. We will discuss your experience, your ambitions, and the kind of role that would suit you.

Do I need to have public affairs experience?

No. We recruit across the communications discipline, including PR, public affairs and policy. What matters most is relevant experience within that field, not which part of it you started in.

Can I move between public affairs and communications, or between agency and in-house?

Yes. We regularly help candidates make this move. We understand what transfers well and how to present your experience to the right employer.

Can you advise me on my CV, interviews and salary expectations?

Yes. We will help you prepare, from your CV through to interview and, if you receive an offer, salary negotiation.

Can you negotiate an offer on my behalf?

Yes. We will represent your interests throughout the offer process, so you don't have to negotiate directly with a prospective employer.

What happens if I decide not to take a role?

That is entirely your decision. We would rather you turn down the wrong role than accept one that isn't right for you.

What happens to my details if I don't get the job?

We keep your details on file, with your permission, so we can contact you about future roles that suit you.
