Account Executive - Public Relations & Public Affairs - London
Westminster Search is working with a respected and growing communications agency to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented Account Executive. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in both public affairs and PR, working across clients in sectors such as tech, health, infrastructure, and energy.

The Role
As Account Executive, you will support senior colleagues in the day-to-day delivery of client accounts, contributing to political monitoring, media engagement, stakeholder mapping, content creation, and event support.
You will work across a diverse mix of clients and be encouraged to grow your skills in both strategic communication and public policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor political, policy, and media developments relevant to client interests
- Produce briefings, media summaries, and stakeholder profiles
- Draft press releases, articles, social content, and internal memos
- Support the coordination of political engagement, events, and public consultations
- Liaise with journalists and political stakeholders under supervision
- Conduct research to inform campaigns and new business proposals
- Contribute to team meetings and brainstorms with fresh ideas and insights
- Maintain accurate records, trackers, and media lists
Person Specification
Essential Experience & Skills
- Some prior experience or internships in PR, public affairs, Parliament, journalism, or communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A strong interest in politics, policy, and current affairs
- Organised, reliable, and able to juggle multiple priorities
- Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable Attributes
- Familiarity with UK political processes and media landscape
- Experience with stakeholder mapping or using CRM and media monitoring tools
- Degree or qualification in politics, communications, journalism, or related fields
